General Membership Meeting
There will be an AEA General Membership Meeting at 4:45pm on Tuesday, May 14th at Post MS in the Commons. A few of the agenda items include: Election of Officers, President Update, proposed Constitution and Bylaw amendments, as well as a few other items. Your Building Reps can provide you with a copy of the proposed Constitution and Bylaw amendments for you to preview prior to the meeting. |

School Board Rally
Monday, August 13th. People will start to gather at the District Office around 5:15pm. PSE will be joining us at the Rally as they are negotiating also! - Please wear red! There will be some shirts available, but sizes and supply is limited. - Feel free to invite (or bring) anyone who supports us in this. - The negotiation team will be on site to catch up and answer member questions. - There will be a limited number of signs & flyers that will be available, but please consider making a sign to wave Please check your AEA Email or personal email for for details. What: AEA General Membership Meeting When: Wednesday, August 30, 2017Time: 4pm- doors open to sign in, meeting will start as soon as we get everyone checked in. Anticipated start time is 4:20pm. Location: Arlington HS- BPAC There will also be HS students volunteering their time to help with child care. They will be located in B104 (and B103 if needed). The Executive Board and Negotiation Team would like to thank you for attending this meeting. |

Take One Action
I am personally asking each member of WEA to do one thing right now. Tell the House to stand strong for students by standing by its education budget proposal. There are 92,000 of us. Imagine the impact if we all send a message to our lawmakers. The House education budget makes good progress on the following issues:

Our lawmakers need to hear from us – support the House Democratic budget and oppose the Senate Republican plan. So, please, take a moment and send a message to your lawmakers.
